Ondansetron 0.10, 0.20, 0.40, and 0.64 mg/mL (as the hydrochloride salt) and dexamethasone phosphate 0.20 and 0.40 mg/mL (as the sodium salt) in 50-mL polyvinyl chloride containers and ondansetron 0.64 mg/mL (as the hydrochloride salt) and dexamethasone phosphate 0.20 and 0.40 mg/mL (as the sodium salt) in 50-mL polyester containers were stable for 30 days at 2-6 degrees Celsius followed by 48 hours at 22-23 degrees Celsius.
Ondansetron hydrochloride and dexamethasone sodium phosphate were not compatible when high concentrations were combined in polypropylene syringes.
